Summer Fun!!!

Starting with Friday July 3rd, we have had some extra kids running around our house. First it was Steve brother 3 kids for about 24 hours, which I talked about in the last post. Then Sunday we started watching a friends daughter Saylor who is almost 3. Wow she was a handful. She missed her mom and dad and she sure let us know it. The kids had a good time trying to keep her busy.
This week the kids started swimming lessons. Kennedy is in level one and for the first 15 minutes of her first class she has a private lesson... she LOVED it. She is learning fast and LOVES that she is now big enough to go done the water slide by herself.Shelby and Braxton are in level 2 together. The kids have never taken swimming lessons so we had no idea what level they should be in. Shelby is having fun but should have been in a little higher group. Oh well next time. Shelby on Friday started jumping off the driving board. She is a BIG fish. She likes that during the two week period that you take swimming lessons you can come back anytime and swim for FREE. NICE, the whole family went swimming on Wednesday and Steve and the kids went swimming on Friday. They LOVE the water. As for Braxton he loves swimming around the deep end with his flipper. The kid has NO fear of the water, he is CRAZY!!!
After Saylor went home on Wednesday we decided that we needed some FAMILY time. Just the five of us. So we planned to go see Transformers 2 and then go out for dinner on Thursday. Steve got off a little early so we could make the 4pm show. We all liked the movie. I think me and Braxton liked it the BEST!!! We had debated taking the kids because of it's PG-13 rating but after talking to some friends we decided to go. It wasn't a bad movie... I think they could have cut down the swearing and we would have liked it a lot more. The action was GREAT and the kids are still talking about the whole movie. Braxton has a bunch of really funny one liners... that he got from the movie that keeps us laughing.

After the movie we had dinner and then watched the kids new FAVORITE show Wipe Out. We LOVE having a DVR... the kids will watch Wipe Out over and over. We even have some of the kids friends coming over and asking to watch it with them. It is the funniest show and I love listening to the WHOLE family laugh. Steve is always the one that laughs the hardest and longest... It's GREAT!!!
